Symptoms of Depression/ Diagnosis:
Depression symptoms mainly depend on the type and severity of it. Most people having mild symptoms just experience sadness. But people having moderate and severe depression experience a whole lot of symptoms.
Types of depression include:
- Recurring Depressive Disorder: It is a disorder in which a person experiences repeated episodes of depression, including symptoms like losing interest in enjoyment, trying to be alone, always sad, and low in energy. PATIENTS WITH THIS DISORDER MAY ALSO EXPERIENCE EPISODES OF ANXIETY, LOSS OF appetite, AND DIFFICULTY SLEEPING.
- Bipolar affective disorder: In this type of disorder a person has manic episodes with symptoms like irritable mood, over-activity, the pressure of speech, inflated self- esteem, and a decreased need for sleep.
